Welcome to the North Georgia Apple IPM (Integrated Pest Management) website. We are a partnership between the University of Georgia College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences the Extension offices of Gilmer and Fannin Counties and apple growers of Gilmer and Fannin Counties.

Apple production in Georgia is concentrated in the Northeast Georgia mountain area, primarily in Gilmer and Fannin Counties. Apple production in the two county area totals $4.4 million. Because of the climate and apple orchards, the area enjoys a large tourism industry.Revenue generated from tourism is estimated to be $80 million.
